Peter Budd
Peter Budd spent eight years in industry (BP) and 37 years in academia (University of Manchester), carrying our research on polymers and developing materials for a variety of applications, including membranes for molecular separations.
He is a co-inventor of Polymers of Intrinsic Microporosity (PIMs), which behave like molecular sieves because they have rigid, contorted macromolecular backbones.
