Peter Budd
Peter Budd is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Manchester.
He spent eight years in industry (BP) and 37 years in academia (University of Manchester), carrying our research on polymers and developing materials for a variety of applications, including membranes for molecular separations.
He is a co-inventor of Polymers of Intrinsic Microporosity (PIMs), which behave like molecular sieves because they have rigid, contorted macromolecular backbones.
